The Grimaldi Group will take part at the “Fruit Logistica” Fair, the most important European fresh fruit and vegetable logistics event, which will be held in Berlin next 6-8 February. The neapolitan Group, European leader in the Motorways of the Sea, will participate with its controlled companies, the Greek Minoan Lines and the Finnish Finnlines, with a stand in co-exposure with the Port Authority of Barcelona.

The Group will introduce to all the main operators working in the food supply chain, the wide network of maritime lines covering the Mediterranean Sea, Northern Europe and the Baltic Sea.

A valid alternative to road transport, maritime transport of freight avoids road congestion, delivery delays, excessive fuel costs, by offering regular and on-time delivery thanks to daily connections between the most important areas of import-export of fruit and vegetables.

Big emphasis will be given to the three maritime links recently launched by the Group: the three-times-a-week service between Ravenna, Brindisi and Catania, the Brindisi-Igoumenitsa-Patras daily connection and the three-times-a-week service between Trieste, Igoumenitsa and Patras, all routes that support the distribution of fruit and vegetable products produced in Italian regions of Apulia and Sicily as well as Greece.
